Enrollment & Community Engagement Specialist
Part-Time
We are seeking a warm, engaging, and strategic Enrollment & Community Engagement Specialist to help guide Tamarack through an important period of growth and renewal.
This individual will lead our enrollment efforts, serving as the primary connection point for prospective families, stewarding the admissions process, and helping expand awareness of our school in the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:
Build Relationships with Families
Serve as the primary contact for prospective families
Lead school tours and information sessions
Guide families through every step of the admissions journey
Lead Enrollment Efforts
Manage the full enrollment process from inquiry through registration
Track and manage the enrollment pipeline and key metrics
Help ensure strong and stable enrollment across programs
Strengthen Community Connections
Represent Tamarack at local events and in the broader Milwaukee community
Build relationships with local preschools, community organizations, and parent networks
Increase visibility and awareness of Tamarack, and support events that invite families into the life of the school
Support Choice Program Access
Help families understand and navigate School Choice programs
Clearly communicate timelines, requirements, and next steps
Work collaboratively with staff to ensure smooth enrollment processes
Collaborate with Staff
Partner with our Marketing & Communications Specialist to align outreach efforts
Work closely with administrative and faculty leaders to ensure a welcoming and consistent experience for families
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment, outreach, or a related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build authentic relationships across diverse communities
Highly organized, with strong follow-through
Preferred
Experience in a school, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
Familiarity with Milwaukee communities and/or school choice programs
Interest in or experience with Waldorf education

Classroom Assistants
Multiple Positions
Tamarack Waldorf School is currently seeking engaging and compassionate part-time Class Assistants for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for individuals who can work effectively as part of a team and independently, and understand best practices in education support. This part-time position involves supporting the lead class teacher and specialty teachers during lessons and supervising children during recess time. The qualified candidate must have a love for the work and play of children and demonstrate care and patience. Our teachers are trained in many disciplines with a focus on healthy child development. They are innovative and professional and will guide their assistants through a deeper understanding of the curriculum.
Tamarack faculty and students are fortunate the school is within walking distance of many nature settings in an urban landscape, such as the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan. Candidates must have a love for outdoors and a passion for exploration of the neighborhood. Assistants may be required to walk one to two miles or more in a day, in all weather, and on varied terrain. Bachelors degree is preferred.

The qualified candidates must have a love for the work and play of children and demonstrate care and patience for children ages 4-7. Lifeways or Waldorf Teacher Training and a BA are preferred. Our Early Childhood teachers are trained in many disciplines with a focus on the young child.
